The simple fact that you have typed the word bankruptcy into your search engine tells me just one thing - you are desperately looking for answers.  No, stop, don’t say another word, no more excuses.  I don’t believe you when you claim you are just a little curious about the world of insolvency, fascinated by the abbreviation IVA, interested to learn more about debt management. Face up to the truth, you are up to your eyes in debt, financially out of control, but even more importantly you have, for the first time, confronted the feelings of denial, which have taken up residence in you head like some out of control cancer, eroding your conscience from the inside out – Welcome to my web site ~ Surviving Bankruptcy.

"Bankruptcy is a Dirty Word.. but don't worry because you are not alone - you are not the first and you most certainly are not going to be the last member of this ever growing club"

''bankruptcy is definitely not a walk in the park. However, with some degree of planning, a little patience and a revised budget, anyone can recover from this financial setback. And contrary to what I originally believed when I first put pen to paper, filing a bankruptcy petition is not the end of the world.''

I know you are tired, too exhausted to read long winded extracts on legal blurb which, quite frankly, tells you absolutely nothing about insolvency.  This web site is designed to give you an insight into the world of bankruptcy, coping with stress, anxiety, rejection within marriage and surviving on a shoestring budget. The site is simple, straight-forward and offers you the opportunity to exchange advice through our "Users Forum". Yes, there is a little legal gumpf, but you can read that at your leisure. Truth, it is about real people, living in the real world in a financial mess. Welcome to Modern day Britain.
This site does not receive any financial reward for referring you to some form of debt management agency or insolvency practitioner. My intention is to create the most successful on-line debt forum where people in financial trouble can come and talk openly and honestly about their fears and concerns. Debt can be a very lonely and isolating experience. Please click onto the debt forum and share your experiences, and help others overcome both the emotional turmoil and practical problems they face on a day to day basis.  You really can make a difference to someone’s life.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

Bankruptcy is a dirty word. For many come feelings of failure, shame and humiliation. But today insolvency is all too common. We are a country in crisis, with more debt than the rest of Europe put together. Thousands are teetering on the brink of financial meltdown. Now, soaring utility bills, the house price crash and credit drying up as never before, for many the worst is about to happen. This is a new club - Don’t panic, it doesn’t cost anything and there is no application - you are an honoury member!

Look, it’s going to be OK - take a breath. Believe it or not, you actually can right this financial mess. True, it won’t happen over night, but it isn’t the end of the world. I can almost guarantee that you have tinkered with the odd IVA web site, studied the debt management options and now, reluctantly, you are looking at the worse case scenario Bankruptcy.  Well, just because you are here does not necessarily mean that bankruptcy is your only option. Insolvency is not the ‘cop out’ so widely reported by the press over the past few years. This is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make in your life, so you have to get it right.  It is worth addressing as soon as possible, before it spirals totally out of control.

For goodness sake, do your homework, weigh up the pro’s and cons and then make an informed choice. More importantly is the need for you to understand that you are part of a growing trend. You haven’t done anything wrong. A crime has not been committed. Once a group of avid savers we have recently given birth to a ‘hole in the wall culture’.  We now live in a ‘must have it all, must have it now ‘ society. Daily reports of financial doom and gloom fill us all with concern. I am afraid the dismal financial climate looks as if it is here to stay for sometime. But you are not alone. Please click onto the debt forum and share your thoughts.

Two and a half years ago my husband and I declared ourselves bankrupt. This was the most humiliating period of my life, but it didn’t have to be. Just a little insight into the world of bankruptcy would have softened the blow. I looked everywhere - I found nothing. Yes, there was legal blurb, but nothing honest, nothing to prepare me for the dark road ahead.
I have thought long and hard before I put up this web site. ~Thirty months have passed. I could have moved on, buried my past or just pretended that it never happened. It could just be my dark secret, very tempting….. But no, I wrote a book!ANKRUPT 130 of 2006"
